Job Summary

The Savannah District Office is located in the downtown historic district (largest in the nation) where you can live and walk to work. Gorgeous weather! Savannah is located on the Georgia/South Carolina border on the Atlantic Ocean and is easily accessible by I-95 and I-16. It is located approximately 89 miles from Charleston, SC, and 225 miles from Atlanta, GA. Savannah is home to Hunter Army Airfield and is 30 miles from Ft. Stewart, in Hinesville, GA.

Major Duties

  • Plan, preform and manage hydrographic and topographic surveys relating to maintenance and new work dredging, earth work, planning studies and disaster support.
  • Manage survey equipment and systems to ensure calibration, operation, maintenance and repair.
  • Serve as lead technical representative for hydrographic and topographic surveying program.

OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: : A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$62,236.00 - $80,912.00
