From the first four investigations in this weather series, students have learned to measure and record temperature and wind data. They have also learned enough about clouds and precipitation to record that information in a classroom weather journal. This investigation will extend the concepts already developed in the first four weather investigations so that students can develop an understanding of the "weather machine" - how air, water, and heat interact to create weather.
