The Society for Mining and Metallurgy Exploration, Inc. (SME) announced the five team finalists for their Move Mining Competition out of 40 entries from 24 states and 7 countries. The teams are: Wasatch Wonders with their concept paper, "YoursMinedOurs"; Team Atwood with their concept paper, "Changing the World View of Mining Through Game Based Learning"; Montana Tech Club Met with "Mining Moves"; Queens University Mining Department Group 5 with "Mining Facts" and Miles of Smiles with "The Mineral Maniacs: A children's fantasy book series on mining."

The public are invited to watch the final competition live at the SME Annual Meeting in Denver, CO on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at at the SME Annual Conference & Expo in Denver, CO at the Colorado Convention Center in Room #103 at 4:00pm - 5:45pm. The event will also be streamed live on Facebook.
