EPA- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Science Advisory Board (SAB) Staff Office is holding a public teleconference of the SAB Panel to discuss its draft advisory report regarding the EPA draft Report on the Environment 2014. FEMA- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) National Advisory Council (NAC) will meet in person at the Los Angeles Emergency Operations Center at 500 E. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (PDT) on September 17, and from 8:30 am to 11:30 am (PDT) on September 18. The meeting will be open to the public (with prior registration and photo identification), but may close early if the NAC has completed its business. DOE- the Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board (EM SSAB) Chairs are holding a meeting on September 17, 2014 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and September 18, 2014 from 8:00 am to 12:14 pm at the Shilo Inn Convention Center, 780 Lindsay Blvd, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402. The Board will make recommendations to DOE-EM and site management on environmental restoration, waste management, and related activities. [Wednesday, September 3 2014 (Volume 79, Number 170)

DOE- The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) will hold a partially closed meeting on September 19, 2014 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (EDT) at the National Academy of Sciences (Lecture Room), 2101 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington DC. NASA- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration invites public nominations for service on NASA Federal advisory committees. U.S. citizens may nominate themselves by October 1, 2014 for consideration as potential members of NASA Federal advisory committees, based on expertise, knowledge, experience, and current/past contributions to the relevant subject area. EPA- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a public meeting of the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee (CAAAC). The Committee advises on economic, environmental, technical, scientific and enforcement policy issues. The meeting will be held October 29, 2014, tentatively from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn and Suites Alexandria, 625 First Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. The Permits, New Source Review and Toxics Subcommittee will meet at the same location on October 28, tentatively from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. [Monday, September 8 (Volume 79, Number 173)]

EPA- The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB) will hold a public meeting on October 28-29, 2014. EFAB provides advice and recommendations to EPA on creative approaches to funding environmental programs, projects, and activities. The meeting is open to the public but seating is limited; attendees must register no later than Friday, October 17, 2014. The meeting will be held on October 28, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm (EST) and October 29, 2014 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST), at the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), 1200 G Street NW, Suite 400, Washington DC 20005. EPA- The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Environmental Financial Advisory Board (EFAB) announces the charter renewal of National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC) for an additional two-year period. The Council provides advice and recommendations to the Administrator about issues associated with integrating environmental justice concerns into EPA’s outreach activities, public policies, science, regulatory, enforcement, and compliance decisions. NSF- The National Science Foundation (NSF) Committee on Equal Opportunities in Science and Engineering is holding an open meeting to discuss data, programs, policies, and other information pertinent to the NSF and to provide advice and recommendations concerning broadening participation in science and engineering. The meeting is on October 16, 2014 from 10:00am to 3:30 pm. at the NSF headquarters, 4201 Wilson Boulevard, Room 1235, Arlington, VA 22230. [Monday, September 22 2014 (Volume 79, Number 183)]

NASA- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Advisory Council Earth Science Subcommittee is holding a meeting to solicit, from the scientific community and other persons, scientific and technical information relevant to program planning. DOE- The Department of Energy Secretary of Energy Advisory Board (SEAB) Task Force on Technology Development for Environmental Management (EM) is holding an open meeting on October 9, 2014 from 8:30am - 1:30pm. The meeting will be an opportunity to hear an overview of environmental management at the Department.
