EPA - The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provided notice of response clarification to petitions to reconsider its final 2012 ‘Oil and Natural Gas Sector: New Source Performance Standards and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants Reviews.’ The EPA clarified that its denial of the petitions only referred to new source performance standards. DOI - The National Park Service (NPS) is requesting comments on an information collection student surveys. The surveys assess the following: confidence in the ability to participate in environmental monitoring and citizen science activities/discussions, interest in pursuing or participating in classes, activities or discussions related to general STEM and/or environmental science, recognition of the relevance of STEM and environmental science to students' lives and communities, and interest in environmental science and/or in pursuing additional STEM-related classes, activities and/or careers. NSF -  The National Science Foundation (NSF) Advisory Committee for Mathematical and Physical Sciences has given notice of an open meeting to provide advice, recommendation, and counsel regarding mathematical and physical sciences programs and activities. The meeting is scheduled for November 17-18, 2016 at the National Science Foundation 4201 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22230. Board Room (room 1235). DOI - The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has issued a final rule clarifying a previous rule regarding the leasing of sulfur for oil and gas extraction on the outer continental shelf. The rule clarifies the parties addressed and specifies parties as “bidder, prospective bidder, applicant seeking to become a bidder, and assignee of record title or operating rights.” [Volume 81, Number 197 (Wednesday, October 12, 2016)]

DOE - The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has given notice of an information collection and is requesting comments. The request in question is a three-year extension of the FERC-551 information collection requirements with no changes to the current reporting requirements. NSF - The National Science Foundation (NSF) Advisory Committee for the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) has given notice of a meeting on November 28-29, 2016 at the National Science Foundation in Arlington, Virginia. The meeting will discuss the status of OISE program realignment and the discussion of the mission/vision of Countries and Regions Cluster Presentation on status of OISE data analytics and a meeting with NSF leadership. DOT - The Department of Transportation  (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has announced a public meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2016; from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at DOT Headquarters in Washington, DC. The meeting will address the upcoming 50th session of the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (UNSCOE TDG) on November 28 - December 6, 2016. [Volume 81, Number 201 (Tuesday, October 18, 2016)]

FERC - The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has given notice of intent to produce an environmental assessment report for the proposed Tennessee Pipeline Company, L.L.C. Lone Star Project. The notice announced the process by which land will be scoped for the project and is intended to gather public feedback and input from interested agencies through comments and concerns regarding environmental effects, reasonable alternatives, and measures to mitigate environmental impact. USDA - The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Cooperative Forestry staff is requesting applications for the Community Forest and Open Space Conservation Program. This is a competitive grant program that allows local governments, qualified nonprofit organizations, and Indian tribes to apply for grants to establish community forests. All applications must be received by January 13, 2017 and submitted to specific State Forestry Services. Tribal applicants may submit applications to their tribal government officials. USGS - The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is requesting comments on mineral production data. These data will be used in annual commodity reports for federal use. NOAA - The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has announced a meeting of the National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS) Executive Staff. The meeting will address the reconstitution of the Executive Council. The meeting is open to the public. Seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. NASA - The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has given notice of a meeting of the NASA Advisory Council (NAC) Committee on Technology, Innovation, and Engineering on November 18, 2016. The meeting will address updates on NASA’s space technology mission, and will provide updates on small spacecraft technologies. OSTP - The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology (SOST)  is requesting comments on the content of their plan for Ocean Research in the Coming Decade. Comments must be submitted electronically by January 1, 2017. DOI - The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has announced the availability of a revised environmental assessment of commercial wind lease issuance requirements for the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf offshore New York.
