Job Summary
These positions are located in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, Planning Division.
Major Duties
- In this position you will be responsible for performing work involved in Natural Resources Planning and Environmental law compliance, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Conduct environmental studies and evaluations concerning a variety of resources, such as social economic, land, air, water, timber, recreation, wildlife, fisheries, and/or additional special areas.
- Identify issues, development of alternatives, and the creation of the NEPA document.
- Gather all the appropriate information in order to develop the current and long-range project planning in the assigned area.
- Formulate various documents e.g., decision memos, environmental assessments and environmental impact statements and make recommendation in order that Responsible Officials can make decisions on issues and affected resources.
- Write environmental analyses, assessments, and environmental impact statements.
- Develop recommendations addressing site restrictions, changing or unfamiliar regulatory requirements, threatened or endangered species and political and environmental considerations.

Experience Requirements: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience which includes working on environmental assessments and environmental impact statements related to water resources project; ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and other agency policy; conducting on-site environmental investigations, and monitoring construction, operation and maintenance activities. Pay Range
$80,806.00 - $105,052.00
