Major Duties
- You will prepare cost estimates for construction projects including new construction, renovations, modifications, and repairs.
- You will develop effective solutions to resolve project conflicts revolving around scope, criteria, regulatory requirements, technical architectural engineering problems, and areas of responsibility.
- You will evaluate the engineering, design, and construction work performed by other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications
GS-12
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Applying engineering, theories, principles, practices, and techniques to plan, design, layout, construct and maintain a wide range of structures and facilities; 2) Preparing project specifications and cost estimates; 3) Reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy and conformance with contractual requirements; and 4) Providing technical solutions for unforeseen problems during construction. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Assisting in the design and analysis for construction projects; 2) Assisting in the investigation and evaluation of construction engineering issues; 3) Assisting in the preparation of facility project specifications and cost estimates; and 4) Reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and requests for proposals for technical soundness. At the GS-11 grade level you may also qualify based upon the education or the combination of education stated in the Education Section of this announcement. Pay Range
$70,737.00 - $110,224.00
