Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will prepare cost estimates for construction projects including new construction, renovations, modifications, and repairs.
  • You will develop effective solutions to resolve project conflicts revolving around scope, criteria, regulatory requirements, technical architectural engineering problems, and areas of responsibility.
  • You will evaluate the engineering, design, and construction work performed by other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

GS-12

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Applying engineering, theories, principles, practices, and techniques to plan, design, layout, construct and maintain a wide range of structures and facilities; 2) Preparing project specifications and cost estimates; 3) Reviewing plans and specifications for accuracy and conformance with contractual requirements; and 4) Providing technical solutions for unforeseen problems during construction. GS-11

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Assisting in the design and analysis for construction projects; 2) Assisting in the investigation and evaluation of construction engineering issues; 3) Assisting in the preparation of facility project specifications and cost estimates; and 4) Reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and requests for proposals for technical soundness. At the GS-11 grade level you may also qualify based upon the education or the combination of education stated in the Education Section of this announcement. Pay Range

$70,737.00 - $110,224.00
