Job Summary
VICENZA, ITALY This position is located in Vicenza, Italy situated midway between Venice and Verona, less than 3 hours drive from Florence, Milan, and borders of Austria and Germany. Major Duties
- As a Civil Engineer for US Army Africa/SETAF, you will:
- Serve as a planning, programming, and asset management facility engineering professional at the Army Service Component Command (ASCC) level.
- Provide difficult and complex facility master planning and project programming.
- Make decisions on assigned programs based on factors such as budget, condition assessments, strategic policy directives, operational mission requirements, laws, DoD standards and guidance, and executive orders.
- Serve as a civil technical consultant and advisor to the staff and Support Teams for forward operating sites within the ASCC area of operations.
- Develop project requirements as necessary to include project scopes, cost estimates and budgets, project schedules, procurement strategies and sources allocations.
- Provide technical support and expert staff assistance on a wide variety of projects of varying degrees of scope and complexity.
- Perform the engineering and technical functions involving the preparation, award and management of contracts.
- Coordinate with other functional experts, participates in the source selection evaluation process, and the review and evaluation of contractor proposals.
- Serve as the engineering representative showing and discussing project details with Army officials, community leaders and Ministry of Defense personnel.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Pay Range
$76,687.00 - $99,691.00
