Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will perform design analysis and calculations for structural projects.
  • You will analyze and design extensive structural alterations and modifications to existing facilities.
  • You will develop complex designs and analysis utilizing advanced structural engineering software.
  • You will investigate and evaluate structural issues and concerns in existing facilities, and develop reports to include recommendations and options for remediation or corrective measures.
  • You will perform site investigations of project sites to collect all pertinent data.
  • You will perform AE oversight of Structural Engineering work for conformity with code requirements.
  • You will write design-build requests for proposals for procurement of Navy and Marine Corp projects.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of civil engineering is required.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a professional civil engineer at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Providing professional structural engineering products, services, and consultation with facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance;2) Ensuring planning, design, and construction are completed in accordance with specifications, criteria, policy, industry codes and standards;3) Performing design analyses and calculations for structural projects; and 4) Developing complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced structural engineering software.

Pay Range

$85,428.00 - $111,062.00
