Job Summary
This position is located in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Research Services, Preservation Programs Division, Heritage Science Research and Testing. This position reports to the Director of Preservation Programs and is responsible for developing and delivering the Heritage Science Research and Testing mission and strategy. Major Duties
As a DIRECTOR OF HERITAGE SCIENCE RESEARCH AND TESTING (Supervisory Physical Scientist), you will:
-direct programs of applied research that address preservation challenges of a 21st century archives.
-provide evidence used to inform preservation policy and contribute to setting the overall policies relating to preservation activities and practices.
-develop work plans, organize, direct, and manage resources that have a significant influence throughout the organization to address key preservation challenges
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: -Delivering preservation-related research; AND
-Reviewing and approving preservation technical studies and presenting information to stakeholders; AND
-Analyzing data and presenting data.
Pay Range
$117,191.00 - $152,352.00
