Job Summary
You will serve as an Engineer in the Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (SRM), Minor Construction (MINCON), and Facilities Projects of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. You will provide expertise on a wide range of administrative and technical duties pertaining to facilities and capital equipment construction, renovation, and day-to-day services.
Major Duties
- You will develop cost estimates, Request for Proposal (RFPs), evaluation of contract deliveries, and post-award contract management for new military construction (MILCON) and/or SRM projects.
- You will address the architectural, mechanical, electrical and capital equipment aspects of a broad spectrum of specialized facilities dedicated to Research and Development.
- You will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for construction and services acquisitions coordinating heavily with the contracts department, occupants, and prime contractors.
- You will provide technical team leadership that includes coordinating work, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and resolving conflicts.
- You will develop written plans and presentations to interested parties on the program/project status, issues, milestones, etc.
Qualifications
ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (ND-03 or GS-9/11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience as a professional engineer researching, designing, developing or maintaining engineering systems or components related to facilities, capital equipment construction, or renovation applications. ND-03 (GS-11/09 equivalent): Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band (ND-02 or GS-05/08 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience as a professional Engineer planning and implementing engineering projects related to facilities, minor construction, or restoration projects to support customer requirements. Pay Range
$54,699.00 - $135,440.00
