Job Summary

You will serve as an ENGINEER or SCIENTIST in the WEAPONS STSEMS DIVISION within the SPECIAL WARFARE & EXPIDITIONARY SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The (ND-5) pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the (GS-14) and (GS-15).

Major Duties

  • You will apply emerging technologies for the development of Ammunition Systems, advanced and precision munitions, and multi-role/multi-purpose systems.
  • You will integrate knowledge from multiple technical disciplines and must possess a strong understanding of systems, systems science, and systems engineering.
  • You will lead the development of Engineers within the Division across the Department as required in the area of Ammunition Systems technology.
  • You will act as key member of the Ammunition RDT and E and full life-cycle support technical communities and is engaged with peers working at other DoD activities and within private industry and academic institutions.
  • You will integrate full life-cycles support into ammunition research, development, testing, and evaluation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service, or in the public or private sector as a professional engineer or scientist managing research and development of ammunition for defense weapon systems. Pay Range

$88,704.00 - $160,286.00
