Job Summary
You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Technical Staff Branch (CODE 53006) of SPAWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.
Major Duties
- You will be responsible for participating in regularly scheduled meetings with other Portfolio Managers, collaboratively identifying potential teaming opportunities across NIWC Pacific/other organizations.
- You will be responsible for facilitating strategic business planning, assisting with the identification and realization of business opportunities, assisting with the transition of opportunities to projects.
- You will be responsible for supporting work acceptance processes, and facilitating connections between projects within NIWC Pacific and across other SYSCOMS/Warfare Centers.
- You will be responsible for helping to make connections to enable the rapid delivery of Business and Force Support (BFS) capability to the warfighter.
- You will be responsible for identifying key strategic points of contact, creating and supporting opportunities for engagement, assisting with developing presentations/demonstrations and supporting material.
- You will be responsible for providing assistance to scientists and engineers by reviewing/improving proposals, performing technical assessments and prioritization of proposals submitted from across the center.
Qualifications
ND-05: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or (ND-04) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing daily operational direction of defense of all Navy, Marine Corps and Joint/Coalition projects; AND/or utilizing Command and Control & Enterprise Engineering terminology, methods, opportunities and challenges. ND-04: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or (ND-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing daily operational direction of defense of all Navy, Marine Corps and Joint/Coalition projects; utilizing Command and Control & Enterprise Engineering terminology, methods, opportunities and challenges AND/or supervising a diverse group and individuals. Pay Range
$83,063.00 - $166,500.00
