Job Summary
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-4 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. You will serve as an ENGINEER in the INTERFACE ENGINEERING AND ASSESSMENT DIVISION, MEASUREMENT SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Major Duties
- You will serve as an engineering partner to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division Vertical Launching System (VLS) Matrix Manager.
- You will act as an Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona point of contact in support of specialized project management tasks for Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) tasking.
- You will provide engineering support to Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona's Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) tasks.
- You will identify and resolve problems to ensure Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) products are delievered in accordance with cost, schedule, and technical constraints.
- You will provide financial management support by identifying SEATASK funding requirements, accepting funds, monitoring expenditures, and reporting financial status.
- You will allocate funding to Corona's Vertical Launching Systems tasks.
- You will represent Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division at major Vertical Launching System reviews and meetings.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer evaluating and developing technical solutions to product problems for a Vertical Launching System program. Pay Range
$70,737.00 - $131,064.00
