Job Summary

You will serve as the Precision Guided Weapons Chief Engineer for the Battle Management System in the Weapon Control Systems Engineering and Software Engineering Branch, Unmanned and Expeditionary Weapon Systems Division, Weapons Control & Integration Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

Major Duties

  • You will execute engineering best practices for requirements definition and decomposition, system design and implementation of customer and end-user requirements.
  • You will organize, analyze, conduct, and oversee engineering activities relating to design and development of weapon control systems.
  • You will Apply engineering technical rigor and technical management processes during weapon control systems development.
  • You will monitor the health of the division programs/project portfolio.
  • You will champion professional development efforts and mentoring to ensure a technically viable workforce for long-term sustainment and health of core competencies.
  • You will support the execution of the strategic goals of the program office, Battle Management Systems leadership, and NSWCDD leadership and communicate plans, progress, and performance results both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or scientist providing design, development, test & evaluation, integration, or in-service engineering for combat/weapons systems. Pay Range

$99,172.00 - $166,500.00
