Job Summary

You will serve as the Chief Engineer for the Battle Management System Precision Strike Package in the Gun & Electric Weapon Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

Major Duties

  • You will lead, guide, and develop both new and existing product improvement designs.
  • You will identify and solve problems associated with gun mount, gun platform, and gun combat system integration.
  • You will lead the internal design and change control processes for the documentation of designs and issues.
  • You will mentor, advise, and guide a diverse group of engineers, scientists and technicians to ensure that requirements for the designs are sufficient, documented, and verified through the design process.
  • You will perform technical and management program reviews and make recommendations for program improvement.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Scientist providing technical oversight in the design and development of gun weapons systems to integrate into existing and proposed weapons platforms. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $170,800.00
