Job Summary
This is an Environmental Coop Agreements Project Manager, GS-0401-11 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Regional Planning and Environmental Center (RPEC). This is a permanent full-time position and may be filled in any of the following duty locations: Fort Worth, TX; Galveston, TX; Little Rock, AR; or Tulsa, OK. The location chosen will be at the discretion of management and determined at the time of selection.
Major Duties
- Serves as Project Manager for Cooperative Agreements (CA) awarded under the Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Network program.
- This position serves as the point of contact to support the award and administration of Cooperative Agreements for projects administered through the CESU National Network.
- Serves as Project Manager for the management and award of cooperative agreements awarded through the CESU program, and provides environmental contracting support for all other identified Civil Works, Military and Reimbursable programs.
- Responsible for the overall planning, management and control, coordination, execution and closeout of assigned projects.
- Develops and coordinates the award of CA on a nationwide basis in support of military installations? Integrated Natural Resources Management Plans (INRMP) programs and Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plans (ICRMP).
- Responsible for both the financial and project close out of all agreements.
- Maintains communication with stakeholders/customers and cooperators on project status, issues and possible resolution, and any impact on costs.

A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with or the management of any of the following: Cultural and/or Natural Resources programs, environmental components of Civil Works, Military or Reimbursable programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range
$64,009.00 - $95,676.00
