Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will manage the drinking water and wastewater, and/or stormwater programs for compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • You will develop and evaluate the scope of technical projects needed for system development, fielding, and sustainment of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater systems.
  • You will train and provide guidance to personnel on environmental standards to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and requirements.
  • You will perform internal and external audits to identify environmental deficiencies, and develop corrective actions, priorities, and funding requirements to resolve the deficiencies.

Qualifications

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: REGISTRATION AS A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER IS REQUIRED. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Resolving issues related to various environmental programs such as drinking water system compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and wastewater and storm water system and permit compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA); 2) Performing and monitoring environmental projects that ensure compliance with rules and regulations; 3) Developing projects for study or design and construction from project inception through completion; and 4) Conducting internal and external environmental management system (EMS) and compliance audits to ensure compliance with regulations, instructions, and governing standards. Pay Range

$78,880.00 - $101,903.00
