Job Summary

You will serve as an Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Business Line of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND PAC. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Major Duties

  • You will evaluate the effectiveness or impact of environmental laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to work practices.
  • You will review final project completion to determine if project scope requirements have been met.
  • You will train personnel on environmental standards to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • You will serve as primary consultant on environmental matters (e.g., air, land, water pollution control).
  • You will review plans, designs, and specifications for the improvement, alteration, or construction of facilities to ensure compliance with environmental requirements.

Qualifications

In addition to meeting the Basic Requirement, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advise or consult others in maintaining compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies; 2) Apply environmental engineering concepts, theories, principles, practices, and techniques to ensure that environmental concerns are properly identified and resolved; 3) Research and advise others on the specifics of local, state, federal, laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting environmental engineering issues throughout an area of responsibility; 4) Plan, coordinate and conduct environmental compliance surveys and audits to investigate compliance with applicable standards; and 5) Manage, administer, and provide environmental engineering support to maintain compliance with Federal, State and local regulatory requirements in environmental compliance including drinking water, wastewater, storm water, air, oily waste/spills management, and environmental management systems. Pay Range

$81,315.00 - $105,053.00
