Job Summary

You will serve as an Environmental Engineer in the ENVIRONMENT DIVISION, ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY & HEALTH DEPT of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties

  • You will assist higher level engineers develop instructions to minimize hazardous waste, dispose of hazardous waste, implement water pollution control measures; and assure compliance with underground storage tank regulations.
  • You will assist spill response director in investigations into the cause of spills, help prepare spill reports, and determine/follow-up corrective actions.
  • You will select appropriate guidelines and decide among alternative approaches.
  • You will communicate any deviations, problems, or unusual situations to supervisor or higher level engineer.

Qualifications

For GS-07:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer analyzing or implementing environmental protection compliance controls, and communicating project status with production workforce, supervision and management for Air, Asbestos, Water, Environmental Planning, Hazardous Material or Hazardous Waste programs. Pay Range

$39,149.00 - $61,589.00
