Job Summary

You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental Office of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time. Salary Range: GS-09: $54,552 - $70,918 per annum GS-11: $66,002 - $85,801 per annum
Major Duties
- You will serve as the Program Manager for environmental subject matter areas.
- You will recommend to management how to incorporate/integrate existing, new and changing environmental requirements into the Command's processes and procedures.
- You will represent the command at meetings both internally and externally.
- You will review technical work documents and process instructions for compliance with environmental policies and guidance.
- You will conduct assessments, inspections, surveillance and audit shipyard facilities and operations to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Navy and local environmental protection requirements.
Qualifications
For the GS-11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Environmental Engineer conducting analysis and assessing requirements, processes, projects or risks to determine impacts. For the GS-09: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Environmental Engineer reviewing technical documents (e.g., regulations, reports, drawings/plans, specifications, correspondence, etc.) and conducting field work (e.g., site checks/visits, inspections, sampling, etc.) to assist in providing recommendations.
