Job Summary
You will serve as an ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the AIRCRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT OFFICE (AESO) of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Major Duties
- You will review, study, and analyze activity processes, complex drawings, specifications and process flow diagrams, activity files/incident reports and conduct interviews/meetings with a diverse range of personnel.
- You will provide expert advice, instruction and training to professional and non-professional employees throughout DoD and the private sector.
- You will assist environmental engineering office personnel on an as needed basis in the areas of aircraft maintenance and operations regarding environmental compliance.
- You will serve as a project engineer in support of solvent (volatile organic compounds) and aircraft particulate emissions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing, interpreting, and implementing pertinent air emissions practices and new and existing environmental compliance manuals, instructions and regulations; 2) Conducting meetings/conferences to brief activity management and technical representatives of Environmental Compliance programs and outlining options to bring activities into regulatory compliance and recommending options for remediation; 3) Reviewing, evaluating, and measuring emissions from aircraft operations and maintenance activities with a view toward meeting environmental compliance; 4) Conducting on-site inspections and giving technical assistance. Pay Range
$83,063.00 - $107,986.00
