Job Summary
You will serve as a Environmental Protection Assistant withENGRFLDACT, NW/RESOFCHARGECONST EFA.
Major Duties
- You will participate in the development of environmental documentation relating to assigned program areas.
- You will collect environmental information to assist environmental specialists with determining the uses and impacts of activities on the environment.
- You will prepare reports from environmental data collected during on-site inspections.
- You will review data to verify quality and correctness of files and records
- You will answer routine environmental questions to assist external personnel with departmental processes
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical assistance to environmental program managers at field sites; 2) Providing Environmental Quality Assessments, spill response, administrative support and customer support services to engineers; 3) Assisting engineers and specialists with the environmental protection program (i.e., organizing, administering, evaluating and coordinating environmental information, events and meetings and preparing documents and presentations); 4) Participating in drills, spill response and emergency events (i.e., receiving initial call of emergency spill event, forwarding information to an Environmental response personnel responder, receiving and managing external communications, maintaining the Mail Control Log for documenting external communication). Pay Range
$47,380.00 - $61,589.00
