Job Summary
You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the G-F Division, Environmental Affairs Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP BUTLER.
Major Duties
- You will notify installation employees via electronic mail messages, face-to-face interactions, and/or by writing articles for the OKI NEWS TODAY and/or other publications.
- You will provide information and guidance to employees , supervisors and managers on all aspects of the Qualifies Recycling Program.
- You will ensure the recycle guidelines and policies are followed y all military personnel and civilians aboard MCB Camp Butler MCAS Futenma.
- You will conduct and schedule random on-site inspections of all the facilities' recycle pick-up areas to ascertain the acceptability and effectiveness of the area.
- You will perform quality control to ensure recyclable materials meet sales contract agreement/requirements by using sampling apparatus and take necessary remedial actions as appropriate.
- You will write reports as to any discrepancies, whether internal or external to the Qualified Recycling Program.
- You will perform investigations and site visits and provide technical assistance, guidance, and information to camp/station tenants concerning what to turn in for recycling, how to manage solid waste, and how to initiate source reduction.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specilized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assists in planning, managing, and administrating the promotion of the recycle program to ensure compliance with recycling requirements for Marine Corps facilities. Pay Range
$37,301.00 - $48,488.00
