Job Summary
You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENT, SAFETY AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF. You will serve as water and air permit negotiator and environmental project manager in the environmental planning and water compliance branch.
Major Duties
- You will review, analyze, and recommend modifications to existing environmental programs and practices.
- You will review laws, codes, and regulations promulgated by environmental control agencies at all levels to assess their impact on operations.
- You will perform periodic on-site inspections of facilities to determine compliance with applicable state, local, and federal standards.
- You will provide advice and assistance regarding adequate environmental protection plans and their implementation.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting inspections or surveys of environmental protection programs within an industrial environment (i.e. shipyard, repair facilities, etc.) to recommend modification of operations and to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental protection laws and regulations. Pay Range
$84,045.00 - $109,264.00
