Job Summary

This position is scheduled to transfer to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) no later than 30 Sept 2021 in accordance with the provisions of Section 702 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017, Public Law 114-328. The Act directed the DHA to take responsibility for the administration (i.e., authority, direction, and control) of military treatment facilities beginning 1 Oct 18. Employees will become DoD employees upon transfer to the DHA.

Major Duties

  • Provide program direction by preparing instructions and issuing directives to formulate policy, establish objectives, reduce liability and risk, provide procedural guidance.
  • Provide oversight and training to supported installations for the MEDCOM Environmental Program Requirements (EPR) Budget.
  • Solve complex problems in all medical facilities covering disease vector prevention and control, environmental quality, health facility waste management and, drinking water surveillance, wastewater disposal, and disease prevention and control.
  • Develop guidelines to identify environmental health issues and potential environmental health risks in all facilities.
  • Represent the agency in inter-agency meetings involving policy matters related to EH programs and sustainability, and coordinates programs with Federal, State and local agencies.

Pay Range

$99,941.00 - $129,926.00
