Major Duties

You will:

  • Support development of regulations, guidance, policies or other priorities to help Office of Water (OW) Senior Managers advise OW's Assistant Administrator and Deputy Assistant Administrators.
  • Analyze or translate technical or policy information for internal or external consideration and review.
  • Serve as regulatory program liaison or representative of OW's AA office with other OW Offices, the Agency, other federal agencies or other external stakeholders.
  • Track or coordinate high priority or mission-critical regulations, guidance or other actions to ensure deadlines are achieved; ensure quality of products meets stated objectives.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.

Qualifications

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:To qualify for the GS-13 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-12 level defined as experience analyzing complex environmental regulations, policies, or guidance; taking complex data to create or coordinate written products (e.g., reports, briefings); experience with environmental programs.Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: Ability to lead teams under tight deadlines to develop products or to recommend decisions.

Knowledge of federal government programs, principles, policies, or priorities.

Skill in oral communication.

Skill in written communication.

Ability to analyze or evaluate program information or data to support or communicate decision-making.

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationship with others.

Ability to effectively represent organizations.

Knowledge of principles, methods, tools for developing, coordinating or managing projects.

Ability to work independently, set well defined and realistic goals; promote a good working relationship with others. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $133,465.00
