Job Summary
You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the COMPLIANCE BRANCH, ENVIRONMENTAL FLIGHT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND MARIANAS. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 12.62% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.
Major Duties
- You will serve as a technical authority, advisor and consultant to personnel within the organization and other Air Force and local agencies concerning environmental issues.
- You will plan and conduct assessments and inspections of industrial and non-industrial operations.
- You will be responsible for the planning and execution of coordination and oversight of team activities; coordination of support to the team; and coordination and oversight of study documentation preparation.
- You will negotiate solutions to controversial and technically complex environmental problems with other professionals, environmental officials and representatives.
- You will represent the organization at conferences, meetings, seminars and workgroups.
- You will conduct training sessions in assigned areas of responsibility and develop programs of instructions for assigned training sessions.
Qualifications
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing a variety of duties involving the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of routine program and activities associated with air, water, wastewater, asbestos, hazardous waste, lead based paints, pollution prevent, tanks, and spill response. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ensuring proper waste and material management to minimize and prevent pollution of toxic and hazardous waste. Pay Range
$37,301.00 - $59,316.00
