Job Summary

You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the Public Works Department of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Major Duties

  • You will perform site inspections at locations for compliance with environmental program requirements.
  • You will review and validate environmental work requests and ensure compliance with applicable local, county, state and federal laws.
  • You will provide information for development of scopes of work, reviewing facility planning documents, coordination contractor visits, escorting contractors, and contract deliverables.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .

1) Performs site inspections at locations for compliance with environmental program requirements; 2) Reviews and validates environmental work requests and ensure compliance with applicable local, county, state and federal laws; 3) Oversees, maintains, updates, and supports the development of major updates to management plans and studies; 4) Provides information for development of scopes of work, reviewing facility planning documents, coordination contractor visits, escorting contractors, and contract deliverables; and 5) Facilitates and ensures completion of permits and related mitigation efforts and provide environmental training and consultation to operators and tenant commands Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/Standards/group-stds/gs-admin.asp.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Pay Range

$83,398.00 - $108,422.00
