Job Summary

You will serve as an ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS LINE of ENGRFLDACT, NW/RESOFCHARGECONST EFA.

Major Duties

  • You will conduct environmental compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • You will evaluate and secure compliance with environmental laws and programs through self-assessments, audits, inspections, investigations, and enforcement and corrective action activities.
  • You will support projects to achieve and maintain environmental compliance for ongoing operations.
  • You will evaluate environmental programs and/or activities and provide customer support services and training.
  • You will comply with environmental reporting requirements providing information and complete reports as required.
  • You will perform environmental sampling and surveys.
  • You will respond to spills of oil and hazardous substances, directing response activities and making regulatory notifications.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a minimum of two of the following elements. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determining needs, evaluating program effectiveness, assuring compliance with regulations, and making recommendations for resolutions. 2) Preparing , providing, and evaluating conventional plans and related documentation. 3) Using performance monitoring and quality assurance principles and methods. 4) Researching and applying accepted and relevant organizational practices as needed. **NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position. Pay Range

$56,051.00 - $72,862.00
