Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will serve as a technical expert for the inspection of existing facilities in support of military operations.
  • Manage the development of original plans, design analyses, and specifications, for complex features of design work accomplished in-house.
  • Develop design criteria to be included in scopes of work for use by Architect Engineer (A-E) firms in developing designs.
  • Assist in project management of the Center of Standardization for Contingency Standard Designs (COS) to meet established goals and objectives, facilitating long term implementation budgeting, programming, and procurement actions.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of standard designs resulting in a library of facility designs for use by COCOMs throughout the world.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement below in the Education section, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes participating in team projects to provide technical oversight and direction; participating in planning and designing charrettes; delivering briefing to audiences including General and Flag Officers; budgeting, planning and tracking the progress of facility design projects; assisting in the planning and monitoring of facility and camp design projects; reviewing standards such as the Center of Standardization for Contingency Standard Designs (COS) for facilities to be used in contingency environments worldwide; and collaborating with others to draft technical specifications, design criteria and drawings in conjunction with designs generated in-house. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Pay Range

$83,335.00 - $112,240.00
