Job Summary
A successful candidate in this position will serve as a Facility Representative with responsibility for program management, technical monitoring, and ensuring the adequacy of communications between offices. More than one position may be filled from this vacancy announcement. Salary may change in accordance with any across the board Federal Pay Increase.
Major Duties
As a Facility Representative, you will:
- Conduct walk-through inspections of the facilities and/or operations for the purpose of identifying hazards, incidents of non-compliance with standards and guidelines, and potential problem areas.
- Observe, appraise and evaluate contractor performance through surveillance, field observations, coordination, and evaluation of operational integration of production, environmental compliance, maintenance, utility operations, quality of performance, and industrial, radiological and/or nuclear safety.
- Ensure contractor management control systems and procedures adhere to NNSA/DOE and national nuclear, radiological and/or industrial safety, and environmental compliance program requirements, policies and practices, and contractual obligations.
- Serve as primary interface between NNSA/DOE management, local and Headquarters, and the contractor, and maintains cognizance of all operational activities, both technical and administrative, in providing technical and policy guidance, direction and interpretation.
- Make contractor management aware of issues and concerns and negotiates regulatory, technical and/or programmatic issues and requirements with senior Management & Operations (M&O) contractors.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience serving on a team or supporting technical evaluations of contractor operational and implementation plans including an industrial, nuclear or non-nuclear facility.
Examples of specialized experience can include:
Serving on a team that evaluates operating systems, processes, formality of operations, material flows, waste streams, instruments/alarms,control room practices, maintenance and construction, quality assurance, safety, health, and environmental activities, design, construction, maintenance or operational activities.

Pay Range
$74,596.00 - $115,313.00
