You will serve as a Geographer (GIS Analyst) in the Asset Management Business Line (AMBL) Asset Product Line of NAVAL FAC ENGR CMD EUROPE SW ASIA.
Major Duties
- You will provide GIS products and services in accordance with the currently funded Common Output Level for all or a portion of the bases in the AOR.
- You will establish plans for the effective utilization of remotely sensed data and GIS systems in US Navy and DoD programs.
- You will serve as a participant in a variety of operational and mission oriented GIS database studies utilizing various methods and techniques.
- You will coordinate data and spatial support for other business lines and organizations outside the direct umbrella of NAVFAC Asset Management.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting studies to identify and correct data management problems; 2) Using Global Positioning System (GPS) to collect spatial data; 3) Applying mathematical and statistical methods to correlate and analyze data for trends, variances and deviations; and 4) Relating Geographic Information systems to imaginary surfaces. Pay Range
$66,167.00 - $86,021.00
