Job Summary

John Martin Reservoir State Park is a state park in Colorado. It contains John Martin Reservoir, which is the second largest body of water in Colorado by capacity. It is also known for being a prime birdwatching location. This position will bee filled using the Direct Hiring Authority for Certain Competitive Service positions.

Major Duties

  • You would be responsible for the management and conservation of all natural resources on public land and water.
  • Must apply a thorough knowledge of parks and recreation resource management, environmental laws and natural sciences.
  • You would develop the Operational Management Plan (OMP) for environmental requirements and park and dam facilities.
  • You would establish short and long range priorities while ensuring the health and safety of the work force and visitors.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: To qualify your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in recreation management and wildlife management. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Pay Range

$77,204.00 - $100,369.00
