Job Summary

This position is located at: United States Army Engineer District, Louisville, Planning, Programs & Project Management Division, Louisville Kentucky 40201.

Major Duties

  • Responsible for managing the planning, scoping, developing, design, construction, and direction of civil works/military/environmental restoration projects.
  • Monitor and maintain project's milestone dates and budget throughout its life cycle.
  • Manage Programs/projects associated with finance, budgeting, risk assessment, schedule, configuration management, contract technical management, and project controls.
  • Prepare cost estimates prior to full scope determination and development of design concept, to determine potential factors that may impact cost.
  • Communicate with clients and customers to satisfy their expectations and commitment to continuous improvement of quality services.
  • Able to communicate to express ideas orally and in writing in order to meet and deal with people diplomatically, creatively and constructively in coordinating activities.

addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Knowledge and understanding of the full range of principles, guidelines, laws, regulations, concepts, and methodology associated with the Project Management Business Process; managing the planning, scoping, developing, design, construction, and direction of civil works/military/environmental restoration project; experience in preparing schedules and budget estimates, tracking and reporting progress against schedules and estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceLeadershipOral CommunicationProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Pay Range

$76,721.00 - $99,741.00
