This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Clarksville, Tennessee about 45 miles northwest of Nashville. Both visitors and residents enjoy the shops and eateries of downtown Clarksville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.
Major Duties
- Serve as technical representative for all potential contracts.
- Analyze renovations needed to space requirements.
- Prepare detailed fee estimates for negotiations with Architectural and Engineering firms.
- Develop maintenance schedules for renovation inspections and needed repairs.
- Analyze project design to determine time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Basic Requirement for General/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineers
Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET); OR (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.

Degree: Architecture; or related field that included 60 semester hours of course work in architecture or related disciplines of which at least (1) 30 semester hours were in architectural design, and (2) 6 semester hours were in each of the following: structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: See Education Section Below In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Using engineering practices to design new construction sites; 2) Providing recommendations to construction stake holders such as project managers, architects, and estimators on complex engineering problems; 3) Preparing cost estimates and design specifications for amendment and modification projects. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
