Job Summary
You will serve as a Lead Project Manager (or Lead Field Support Manager) in the Capital Improvements Business Line, Construction Product Line Coordinator, NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Command) Southwest. of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. This interdisciplinary position will be filled as an Architect (0808), Civil Engineer (0810), Mechanical Engineer (0830), or Electrical Engineer (0850).
Major Duties
- You will Assess effectiveness of programs (e.g., construction, operations, maintenance, facilities repair) to verify they meet operational requirements for budget, quality, and timeliness.
- You will Develop command standards of facility planning, engineering, and construction programs to provide streamlined processes and procedure improvements.
- You will Develop plans to improve team capabilities and identify training needs so team members have the tools to be productive.
- You will Develop budgetary cost estimates and compose technical point papers, proposals, or justifications for funding from agency investment lines.
- You will Discuss technical construction contract administration aspects with architects or engineers that participate in design conferences.
- You will Conduct feasibility studies to determine practicability or adaptability of proposed engineering solutions.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Review and prepare detailed design schedules, construction schedules, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract specifications; 2) Provide technical reviews and evaluations for design build or design-bid build submittals; 3) Provide technical review, responses, and support for construction schedule and costing submittals, requests for information and data-calls 3) Provide scheduling/cost engineering and contract compliance training to construction field office team members; and 4)Provide construction contract administration oversight for construction projects that incorporate various systems and components. Pay Range
$102,104.00 - $132,739.00
