Job Summary
You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/ARCHITECT (TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE COORDINATOR PROJECT MANAGER) in the REGIONALIZED COMMAND of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
Major Duties
- You will provide technical expertise to the project team, and leads meetings/conferences for execution of the project.
- You will make appropriate final review of completed plans and specifications to make certain funds are adequate to cover estimated cost and within authorized scope.
- You will approve/disapprove and consults on proposed change orders on funding availability and scope limitations.
- You will exercise initiative and leadership through persuasive ability and tact and sound judgment to manage teams and provide support to other Project Managers.
- You will communicate effectively through oral and written expressions, and work effectively with other professionals.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provides project management/leadership, criteria and code interpretation, training and mentoring in the area of project management; 2) Develops and implements regional policy on all project management issues; 3) Renders technical decisions/recommendations on situations and/or issues related to scheduling, funding, project coordination, and contract interpretations which could affect the execution of the project; 4) Tracks construction progress and assists in problem resolution by providing technical assistance in the areas of general engineering for reviewing plans and specifications; and 5) Tracks the progress of facility design to ensure execution remains within scope, budget and on schedule. Pay Range
$91,671.00 - $119,176.00
