Job Summary

You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Engineer/Architect Senior Project Manager in the Capital Improvement Branch Line of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. This interdisciplinary position will be filled as a Fire Protection Engineer (0804), Architect (0808), Civil Engineer (0810), Mechanical Engineer (0830), or Electrical Engineer (0850).

Major Duties

  • You will coordinate construction of projects to assist with design engineering.
  • You will perform quality assurance of contract work to verify compliance with contract requirements for design and construction.
  • You will advise staff on correct implementation of facilities project management processes to achieve optimal results.
  • You will develop written reports documenting project status, upgrades, or technical reviews for presentation to management.

Qualifications

This position has a Selective Placement Factor for those applying for the Fire Protection Engineer (0804), Architect (0808), Civil Engineer (0810), and/or Mechanical Engineer (0830), Electrical Engineer (0850). The Selective Placement Factor is that applicants must hold a current registration or licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE), or Registered Architect (RA) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Leads project teams with responsibility to coordinate and mange scope, schedule, and budget for facilities design and construction; 2) Coordinates all phases of facilities design and construction independently within constraints and stakeholders requirements; 3) Independently facilitates sensitive stakeholder discussions and resolution of complex project problems exercising sound judgement; 4) Independently developing, monitoring, and controlling schedules in coordination with stakeholder's requirements and commitments; 5) Tracks and reports project status using enterprise project management software tools, schedules reports and briefings, and unscheduled data call independently; and 6) Coordinates the development and implementation of project acquisition plans in alignment with enterprise goals, legal constraints, and best practices. Pay Range

$91,671.00 - $119,176.00
