You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM MANAGER/ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/GENERAL BIOLOGY SCIENCE/GENERAL PHYSICAL SCIENCE in the Environmental Division, Public Works Department of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Major Duties
- You will advise staff on environmental engineering principles and theories to ensure project objectives are met in accordance with criteria and standards.
- You will review plans, designs, and construction phases to ensure environmental projects remain in scope and funding limits.
- You will interpret guidelines (e.g., Safe Drinking Water Act, EPA Clean Water Act, American Waterworks Association) relative to water and wastewater utility systems to ensure compliance.
- Conduct evaluations of drinking water systems to ensure compliance with prescribed standards for drinking water.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Use environmental regulations, policies, and/or instructions under one or more technical areas (i.e., the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)), to provide technical recommendations to senior leadership; 2) Develop, review, and submit permit applications for managed programs; 3) Modify standard environmental practices, technology, and methods to solve a variety of unique and complex environmental problems; and 4) Review and provide written comments for maintenance and construction project scopes of work, contracts, and design drawings. Pay Range
$76,721.00 - $99,741.00
