Job Summary

You will serve as an Operations Project Manager in the Operations Department, Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), Stennis Space Center, Mississippi.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as the operations project manager for all surveys within assigned Commanders? Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • You will determine the legality and implications of surveying in any AOR, manages and schedules ships, aircraft, and obtains all approvals required for conducting these operations.
  • You will allocate survey resources to best address multi-discipline requirements insuring sound management of survey assets.
  • You will interface with U.S. Dept. of Defense staffs, Coast Guard, Embassies, Department of State, and Defense Attaches, and foreign governments, obtaining approval for survey operations, promoting cooperation, and exchanging information and ideas.
  • You will Travels as Senior NAVOCEANO Representative on survey platforms to insure a wide spectrum of environmental data are collected per ship without data collection systems interfering with each other.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Pay Range

$88,704.00 - $115,313.00
