Job Summary

You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER/COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE AND RECONNAISSANCE DEPARTMENT of NAV METEOROLOGY AND OCEANOGRAPHIC CMD.

Major Duties

  • You will serve as the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Requirements Director on the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) headquarters staff
  • You will manage and coordinate requirements and programmatics congruent to DoD acquisition policy for the Surf Eagle Program for CNMOC
  • You will serve as manage for requirements, planning and coordination with the intelligence community to include National Intelligence Program, Military Intelligence Program and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
  • You will participate and/or lead in programmatic forums within CNMOC, Navy, DoD, and Intelligence agencies
  • You will collaborate with directors of other Departments to negotiate, decide on and/or coordinate work-related changes affecting other Departments

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience utilizing the practices and principles of oceanography or computer science relevant to Naval Meteorology and Oceanography programs (oceanography, hydrography, bathymetry, or acoustics); Experience interpreting broad objectives to develop and implement Meteorology and Oceanography Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Program policies, directives, procedures and other tasks; Experience managing and servicing Intelligence program requirements, resources, and capabilities as they relate to Naval Oceanography; Experience interfacing and coordinating IT systems architecture and systems integration methods; Experience developing innovative solutions for vital and complex Meteorology and Oceanography programs, while balancing funding, operations and policy; Experience advising and consulting with top management and military officials to resolve significant and controversial issues; Experience delivering technical briefs to military and civilian personnel on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) programs and initiatives. Pay Range

$107,807.00 - $140,146.00
