Job Summary

Major Duties

  • You will provide guidance and interpretation of environmental engineering policy directives and programs to ensure consistent compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations.
  • You will maintain compliance with State of Hawaii Department of Health permits, including Storm water NPDES, Wastewater NPDES, Air Quality, Landfill and Recycling.
  • You will review facilities project plans/designs to ensure environmental standards and concerns are properly addressed.
  • You will serve as Clean Air Program Manager, responsible for all aspects of MCBH Clean Air Act compliance.
  • You will lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees.
  • You will resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications

In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance and oversight for various environmental programs including but not limited to: wastewater treatment and disposal, pollution prevention, conservation, hazardous materials and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Pay Range

$78,880.00 - $101,903.00
