Job Summary

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Readiness and Training Systems Department in the Combat Systems Readiness Division in the Surface Ship Antisubmarine Warfare Systems Support Branch of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Naval Facility of NAVSURFWARCENACT DAM NECK VA. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The salary range represents all positions within the band, ND-05 (GS-14/15) and is limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $136,554).

Major Duties

  • You will perform the full range of supervisory duties required of Branch Head, including resource management, financial management, performance evaluations, personnel issues, safety, security and implementation of diversity objectives.
  • You will effectively communicate priorities; business procedures; programmatic and business strategies/recommendations; and other data points interactively; both oral and written, with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • You will demonstrate the skills and abilities to manage work through subordinate managers to accomplish mission goals and objectives.
  • You will have the ability to apply Equal Employment Opportunity Affirmative Action Plan and efforts to subordinates for recruitment, retention, and career development of subordinate employees.
  • You will demonstrate the ability to provide strategic leadership for overall quality, timeliness, and fiscal aspects of Branch products.
  • You will demonstrate the ability to Manage and/or Support product capability, affordability, performance and engineering development, fielding and sustainment for large-scale system/subsystem integration across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/13 grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist serving as a technical advisor in the design, development, installation, and integration, and/or testing of combat systems. Pay Range

$88,888.00 - $160,619.00
