Job Summary

You will serve as a Manager in the Electronic Warfare Systems Branch of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS 14 and GS 15. The salary range shown in the announcement represents all of the positions within the band, including GS 15 equivalent positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $ 157,709).

Major Duties

  • You will serve as the Branch Head of the Electronic Warfare Systems Branch (B33).
  • You will demonstrate knowledge of the physical integration aspects and operational use of electronic warfare, command and control warfare, electronic intelligence, information operations/warfare and cryptology systems.
  • You will provide technical support, leadership, resource support, and mentorship to project leads, group leads, and employees.
  • You will provide administrative leadership including strategic planning, overall task coordination, budget administration, resource management for a highly capable technical branch sized unit in a research and development environment.
  • You will perform the full range of supervisory duties, including performance evaluation and the ability to implement EO programs and objectives.
  • You will plan, coordinate and influence projects managed by SYSCOMs, PEOs and senior NSWCDD project managers.
  • You will communicate effectively orally and in writing at all levels.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND 04 pay band (GS 12/13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: A professional engineer or scientist conducting surface ship combat systems research, development, test, evaluation, or other technical support that includes systems integration and software engineering for electronic warfare systems or other sensor systems. Pay Range

$102,663.00 - $170,800.00
