Job Summary
You will serve as a MANAGER in either the Software Development & Architecture Branch (JXYP) or Munitions Assessment Branch (JXRR) in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
Major Duties
- You will be responsible for the development of the workforce, effective execution of workload consistent with organizational initiatives and objectives, and for providing outstanding support and service to assigned customers.
- You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of subordinates; evaluate work performance and provide feedback on their performance.
- You will serve an essential role in providing equal employment opportunity (EEO) and will be responsible for effecting and implementing EEO policy within the organization.
- You will develop and implement long and short term planning for required funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
- You will manage and oversee aspects of acquisition, project planning, project proposal "white paper" preparation/presentation, technology "road-mapping," technology readiness level assessments, and partnering with scientific and academic communities.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist leading the development, planning or execution of engineering projects, program or initiatives. Pay Range
$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
