Job Summary

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Gun and Electric Weapon Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15. See additional information section for further details.

Major Duties

  • You will manage a technical staff as well as the necessary planning for a branch in a Research and Development environment, including reviewing and evaluating work.
  • You will perform the full range of supervisor functions for a diverse group of professionals, effectively interacting with senior managers internally and externally to the organization.
  • You will identify problems associated with design, development, and integration of weapon systems.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "as a professional scientist or engineer managing or leading work related for a weapons program." Examples of specialized experience include planning, designing, or leading projects in support of weapon systems development efforts, providing technical direction for weapon systems development, sustainment or modernization, or providing leadership to develop and pursue weapons program initiatives. Pay Range

$99,172.00 - $166,500.00
