Job Summary

You will serve as a Manager in the Strategic Missions Systems Engineering Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Major Duties

  • You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of subordinates.
  • You will evaluate work performance and provide feedback on their performance and ensure employees are appropriately selected, utilized and developed.
  • You will provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) and will be responsible for effecting and implementing EEO policy.
  • You will further organizational and agency programs and initiatives by coordinating and integrating work that involves distinct areas of responsibility and knowledge for mission execution.
  • You will develop and implement long and short term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

Along with the Basic Education requirements you must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Scientist leading the development, planning or execution of engineering projects, programs or initiatives. Pay Range

$91,231.00 - $164,858.00
