Job Summary
You will serve as a MARINE SPECIES MONITORING COORDINATOR in the Marine Resources Section of the Environmental Planning Division of the Environmental Business Line (EBL) Core of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND PAC. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.28% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.
Major Duties
- You will coordinate meetings and conference calls with steering committee and program team members as needed.
- You will conduct a periodic program analysis across geographic regions and ISO's to support the the Strategic Planning Process.
- You will communicate the status of the Marine Species Monitoring Program to all Program participants and make recommendations on adjustments.
- You will collect, synthesize, evaluate, and present scientific data to develop and implement plans and actions related to protected-status listings, stranding, consultations, permits and mitigation planning.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Jointly developing and overseeing core aspects of the Navy's highly-visible Marine Monitoring Program, 2) Review marine-related documentation (i.e. marine resources assessments, density reports, ESA Section 7 consultation, Environmental Impact Statements, Overseas Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, Overseas Environmental Assessments, Categorical Exclusions, legal briefs and related studies); and 3) Manage and participate in project reviews and new project proposals. Pay Range
$94,071.00 - $122,296.00
