Job Summary

As a recognized regional technical specialist in application of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance Process.

Major Duties

  • You will act as the District lead on NEPA, lead, assist, mentor and coach journeyman environmental staff in developing quality NEPA documentation and navigating the NEPA process.
  • Serve as the SPD Regional Technical Specialist (RTS) in NEPA compliance assisting other regional district offices on various projects of regional concern.
  • Support the districts position with regard to those issues communicated to the public and stakeholders during the NEPA review, and in public, Project Delivery team meetings.
  • Act as a senior lead Environmental Compliance Manager on select projects.
  • Usually leading a small internal team of interdisciplinary environmental staff in the execution of civil works and military projects, along with an interdisciplinary project delivery team.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes ensuring compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act along with developing environmental mitigation and restoration plans.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Pay Range

$107,630.00 - $139,916.00
